The Keys Gate Knights softball team played a District Game against their biggest rivalry The Key West Conchs. The game was played on February 21, at 3:30 p.m. in the softball fields at Homestead Sports Complex. Erin McGlothlin was on the mound for the Knights. Even though they fell short, it was still an excellent game that ended with a final score of 5-3. The Knights scored all 3 of their runs in the first inning after the Conchs had struck them for one right before. “It was a great game I just think they should have applied more pressure defensively on the Conchs,” Andi Mercedes, baseball player said.
