JV Boys Basketball

On January 11 the JV Keys Gate Knights boys basketball team went up against the JV boys Everglades Ransom team. Many supporters attended supporting the Keys Gate Knights and hoping for a win. The game started fast, both sides running back and forth scoring consecutively. Then, the Ransom team went on a 10-2 run against the Knights not allowing them to score for a while. The Knights did not back down though, they came back from that big deficit and went on a 13-4 run on the opposing team. They ended the first half being down by 8 points 37-29. The second half has started, and the Knights are losing momentum, allowing the Ransom team to go on a massive scoring spree increasing the lead by 18. The Knights then gain momentum back bringing the game to only 8 points at the end of the 3rd quarter. The start of the fourth begins and keys gate has gotten the game to just 4 points. They keep pushing, but the Ransom team has answered back with many threes increasing the lead and playing impressive defense. The Knights are losing hope and end up losing the game by 15 67-52. One of Keys Gate Guards Julio Monzon stated, “we played a good game, we just couldn’t execute and knock down our shots and that costed us to lose, but it’s on to the next.” Tough loss by the Knights but there is many more to come.
