As the crowd began to fill the bleachers of Keys Gate Charter High’s gymnasium at 3:30 p.m. on August 31st to watch the Lady Knights defeat Coral Shores. Anticipation filled both teams, and Keys Gates’ friends and families. The game began with the cheers as the first set was pushed off, nothing but the full effort was shown on the floor. With Keys Gate’s motivational roars, Coral Shores unfortunately still left the gym with a winning score. Although the other team took the win, Keys Gate’s Junior Varsity Girls fought hard in the second quarter, but Coral Shores was still up several points, winning best 2 out of 3 sets. “The girls train very hard and will come back even harder the next time they play,” Catherine McGlothlin, parent of one of the Junior Varsity Girls said.
