First Day of School

This school year started off with a blast as approximately one thousand students were greeted into the new school year with smiles and hugs on the first day of school. As the school year kicked off many students showed up early to get their schedules and meet up with friends. Staff also were anxious to get to their classrooms early to greet their new students and to give off a great first impression. The first day was great for most of the Keys Gate family. A survey was taken with 80% of the students saying they’re the first day was exceptional. Although some students were frustrated with the new rules put in place by administration some calling it “too harsh” and “overwhelming,” Shannon sophomore said. “It was a good start, I saw my friends and didn’t have problems with my classes I’m looking forward to the rest of this year to continue,” Shannon added. August 20th marked a great day for the keys Gate family, and many were left excited to see what this school year has to offer.
