Zoo- Field Trip

The Middle School Journalism classes of 2017-2018 took a field trip to Zoo Miami, hosted by Mary Corpas along with two other chaperones on January 12, 2018. The middle school class consisted of 1st and 2nd period and lead to a combination of both periods. Upon their arrival, a group meeting was held to take a class picture. Afterwards, multiple students took out their own cameras and prepared for the journey ahead of them. Throughout this adventure around the zoo, the classes witnessed lazy bears, excited monkeys, daring gorillas, and fearless tigers along with dozens of different species of birds whom had no hesitation to take a bite out of someone’s favorite snack. As always, good things must end, and left the classes exhausted from their adventure at Zoo Miami. The classes learned about different carnivores and herbivores and had time to relax before the finals. In the words of Ms. Nettles, in response to seeing a herd of zebras, “They’re all just food!”
