Labor Day
Labor Day occurs on the first Monday of every September. It pays tribute to the achievements of American workers. Labor Day became a federal holiday in 1894 and symbolizes the end of summer. The day was first celebrated on Tuesday, September 5, 1882, in New York City and through the years as a nation we continue to acknowledge it. It is because of this holiday that Americans all over the country have come to be appreciated for their hard work and dedication.
