Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving originally began to give thanks to the harvest and to appreciate the time being together with family and friends. Thanksgiving is a national holiday that is celebrated in the United States on the fourth Thursday of November and on the second Monday of October in Canada. Many other religions, cultures and places have celebrations and festivities similar to Thanksgiving but none have the meaning and significance that Thanksgiving has to Americans and Canadians. “My favorite part of Thanksgiving is giving thanks and being with my family,” Jonathan Leon said.
