Drama Production - Romeo and Winifred

Everyone has heard of the story of Romeo and Juliet, but on Friday April 15th, a twist to the classic tale was performed in the Keys Gate cafeteria. Ms. Velez, the Drama teacher, directed the play of Romeo and Winifred a dramatic comedy. The students of the Drama II class had spent months getting ready for the night of the premiere. The play takes place in New York City, where the Montagues and the Capulets are two department stores constantly at war with each other; Romeo and Winifred are caught in the middle with their love for affair. “The play was absolutely hilarious and I would definitely want to see it again,” Gianna Martinez, a member of the audience, said.
