The Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA) Benchmark Test is given to students three times each school year at CSUSA to measure the students’ academic skills and progress over the year. Each question’s difficulty is determined by how well the test taker does on the previous question. All 9th – 11th grade high schoolers takes the NWEA test. The type of NWEA test taken by the school is the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) Test. This test has the ability to give teachers information on how each and every one of
their students is doing individually. The NWEA, started in 2014, has a purpose to give insight to data on a student’s academics. “Although the students don’t always enjoy taking tests, they do enjoy seeing progress. The MAP allows students to really SEE how they have grown since starting the school year,” Ms. Kendall added.
