Book Fair Scholastic

In February, Keys Gate Charter High School will be hosting the Scholastic Book Fair from February 8th -12th to coincide with its Literacy Week celebrations. With help from the National English Honor Society (picture below), a number of school-wide activities are being planned which aim to promote an interest in literature and the arts among the student body. Throughout this week, students will be given the opportunity to participate in recorded storytelling sessions, short story competitions, and a culminating showcase night on the last day of the fair. From 6:30 -8:30 pm on Friday, February 12th, the Keys Gate Cafe will be converted into a gallery of student art, written works, and open mic main stage all while providing parents and students one final opportunity to shop the Scholastic Book Fair. It is our hope that with help from all teachers and staff, Literacy Week will have a lasting impact on our school’s culture and our kids’ lives.
